Humble Harvest this Sat Dec 10

Thank you so much for your donations of time, supplies, and toys!

The squad has done such a wonderful job spreading the word, setting up a donation station and collecting toys for the Humble Harvest. I would like to take this time to say THANKS! Not only have they helped to give back to the community, we had a wonderful team building experience along the way.

The Humble Harvest event is this Saturday Dec. 10!!!!!

If you would like to help on Saturday we are looking for volunteers to help distribute the toys. The Humble Harvest takes place at Fletcher Park and set up begins around 7:30 am. I will be there setting up at 7am and would love some help if you can make it. If you cannot come that early please join us when you can, the Harvest continues until 12 noon. All families are welcome and encouraged to volunteer with the girls!!!

Cheerleading Practice for Tuesday Canceled

Cheerleading Practice for Tues Nov29 has been canceled. There WILL be practice on Thursday Dec 1.

Practice tomorrow

Hey Ladies! Hope you all had a great long weekend and a happy Monday. Don't forget we will be having practice tomorrow Tues Nov 15....and we will be getting ready for the Humble Harvest Toy Drive. Please bring some wrapping paper and tape! If you have any big boxes that we can use to collect the Toys bring those in as well. You may leave them in my room in the morning so you will not have to worry about trying to fit them in your locker!

Shark Attack Dance Team Finals :)

Hi girls! I just wanted to let you all know that I made it to the final portion of the Shark Attack Dance Team Auditions. They are being held at Latitude 30 on Phillips Highway from 2-6pm this Saturday November 12th. They are free and open to the public. After everyone auditions, there will be a short break and they will announce the 2011-2012 Attack Dance Team to all of you. I am #3 so you have to get there early. :) I hope to see you there! You guys ROCK!!

No Practice on Thurs 10/13

As we discussed on Tuesday, there will be no practice on Thursday October 13. Please remember that we have our in-school game on Monday October 17. Please wear your Cheering Uniform to school to show your spirit!!!!!

In-School Away Game Re-Scheduled for Tues Oct 11

Parents and Cheerleaders,
Due to weather, our in-school away game scheduled for Monday Oct 10 has been re-scheduled for Tues Oct 11 at Twin Lakes Middle School. The start time of the game is 2:30 pm, Parents are welcome to come and support JLPC Cheerleaders and Football team!!! Cheerleaders may leave the game with their parent or guardian as long as they sign out with me. Any cheerleader that does not go home with a parent directly from Twin Lakes will ride the bus home with me. Parents may pick up cheerleaders from JLCP around 4:30 pm. I will have the girls call before we leave Twin Lakes to give you a "heads-up."

Cheerleaders will be wearing their uniforms to school on Tues. Please be sure to wear the entire uniform...this includes socks, hair bow, etc. You are also more than welcome to wear black leggings underneath your skirt during the day, as it gets chilly in some classrooms:)

Parents, Thank you so much for all you do to support the Cheerleading Squad!!!! Looking forward to seeing some of you at Twin Lakes, wear your Landon colors!

Uniforms!

You girls did an awesome job at the game tonight!!!!

Please remember it is now your responsibility to take care of your uniforms. Please wash them after each game. You may wash all the uniform parts in the washing machine (please DO NOT dry clean) on gentle. They may also be put in the dryer on low. You might want to wash the bodysuit by itself the first time as I am not sure if the orange will run.
Keep an eye on the blog in the next couple of days....I will post some pics from the game!

Great Practice on Thursday!

Girls!!! Ms. Hasty and I were so impressed with practice today. You all rocked!

Reminders for Monday:
-Wear your orange 'Landon' shirts to school with jeans and your bow.
-Bring $ for Pizza Palace and your permission slip if you haven't already given it to me
-Game begins at 5pm and will probably be over around 6:30. Please let your parents know that you will call them during the third quarter to tell them about what time the game will be over.

Can't wait for Monday:)

P.S. We will miss you 'Driftwood' peeps. Hope you have a fantastic time!!!!!

Our First Game

A couple of reminders as we prepare for our first game!

1. We still need bottled water for the game. The weather will be pretty hot on Monday so I would love for each cheerleader to have 2 bottles of water.

2. Girls should bring back their signed permission slips to walk off campus on game days. They should also remember to bring $5 to buy pizza on game day.

3. Cheerleaders should locate their orange Landon Tee Shirt and black shorts

4. Managers should locate their orange Landon Tee shirts and khaki burmuda shorts for the game; managers may wear jeans with their orange shirts during the day if they wish.

Great Job at pratcice this afternoon. Remember to review your cheers for Thursday...I updated the cheer list post with our newest additions!

Welcome to the JLCP Cheering Blog!!!

Congrats to the JLCP Cheerleading Squad for the 2011-2012 School year!!! You all did a fantastic job last week during our try-out camp. Not only did you show the members of the Jacksonville Roar and Attack Dance Team your cheer and dance ability, you also stood out as a leader on the court. Miss Hasty and I are so excited for the season to begin!

Our first practice will be on Thursday Sept 8. Please report to the Gym directly after school, bring practice clothes!!!

Please remember, there will be a mandatory parent meeting for all members of the Squad, including managers, on Thursday September 8. The meeting will take place in Rm 176 (Ms. Long's Room) at 4:30. If your parent can not attend please have them contact Ms. Long to find another time to meet.

Please have your parent bring $50.00 (cash only) to the meeting to purchase your bodysuit, bloomers, socks and sneakers. These are items that will belong to you, you are purchasing them.
